A new ride is coming to Cedar Point ahead of the Summer season. 

The park introduced it's 18th roller coaster, the Wild Mouse, which features six mouse-themed cars and one cheese-themed car. Each car will climb 52 feet, crest at the lift hill and twist and spin down over 1,000 feet of orange track. 

The new ride had a test run this week, and the park's director of communications shared the moment on Twitter.  

Cedar Point is also adding a new boardwalk along the Lake Erie shoreline. 

 

 The boardwalk will feature the new Wild Mouse coaster, as well as revitalized family attractions, and Cedar Point’s Grand Pavilion, which is an upgrade of the park's original Grand Pavilion, which first opened in 1888.

The new pavilion will feature many of the same characteristics of the original, including a new restaurant featuring culinary items not found anywhere else in the park, a waterfront bar for relaxation and conversation, indoor and outdoor seating, plus viewing decks with views of Cedar Point and the Lake Erie shoreline. 


The amusement park is set to open for the 2023 season in one month on May 6.
