YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - Downtown Youngstown will be the place to be this Cinco de Mayo as the city kicks off its first "First Fridays" event of 2023 with more to come in June, July, and possibly August.

There will be plenty to do all around downtown including games, live music, and Zumba exercises. In addition, multiple downtown restaurants will be offering various food and drink specials all day.

Gringo's Tacos will be offering $3 tacos, $4 imports, and $5 Tres Agave Shots all day long. Additionally, Noble Creature Wild Ales and Lagers will open early for lunch at 11:00 a.m. offering plenty of drinks like their annual margarita-inspired beer with sea salt, lime, and orange.

The Federal will also be getting in on the action with Birra Tacos and margaritas and Penguin City Brewery will be offering their Mexican Lime Lager, as well as a Mexican-style menu at noon courtesy of A Fresh Wind Catering.

At 4:00 p.m., folks can gather at Wean Park to play some cornhole and stick around at 5:30 to do some Zumba with Stepping Out. Folks can also check out Penguin City at 5:00 to learn to salsa.

Daniel Rauschenbauch will be hosting a watercolor pop-up show at Concept Studio on West Federal Street from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and folks can gather at the Youngstown Foundation Amphitheatre at 6:30 p.m. for the Party on the Lawn featuring live music from RDNA.

The party doesn't stop there, though, because the Phelps Street Party will be going on from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. featuring even more live music from local hip-hop artists hosted by DJ Chip Banks from Loud 102.3 FM.
