The City of Sharon will be celebrating Memorial Day weekend with some accordion music all weekend long.

The National Button Accordion Festival will take place at the Apollo Maennerchor at 391 South Dock Street from Friday, May 26 to Sunday May 28. Hours will be 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Friday, noon to 10:00 p.m. Saturday and noon to 9:00 p.m. Sunday. 

This is the largest button accordion festival in the country with accordion players from across the U.S. performing.

The venue has a ballroom with a large dance floor, as well as a patio to enjoy the music on There will also be vendors selling a variety of festival-related items, authentic German beers on draft and homemade food.

During the Sunday event, there will be a program honoring veterans at 12:30 followed by an accordion concert for them. Following that, the music will continue until 9:00 p.m.

Weekend ticket specials include $25 for three-day admission and children under 13 can get in for free.
