A fire destroyed two garages in Mercer County in the 500 block of East Butler Street in Mercer Tuesday.

According to the Mercer County Fire Department, the fire started in a nearby barn and spread to the garages. No one was inside the structures, but the home on the property did receive minor damage to its siding. 

The fire began around noon, and it took the fire department nearly an hour to extinguish the flames. 

According to the fire department, the cause of the fire is unknown but under investigation. 

The fire also damaged two travel trailers on the property.
