Sherrod Brown returns to East Palestine to meet with local manufacturers

EAST PALESTINE, Ohio - Ohio-based U.S. Senator, Sherrod Brown returned to East Palestine to meet with local manufacturers Monday afternoon.
During his visit, he toured the RBS metal manufacturing plant, which had to close for several days following February's train derailment.
Senator Brown says he's been to the village at least six or seven times since the derailment and he's noticing the village bouncing back, but not without some issues.
"There's still challenges. There's challenges of hiring people because they read the news, but when they're working here, they'll understand things are getting better and people are getting back on their feet," Brown said.
The bipartisan Rail Safety Act sponsored by Brown and fellow Ohio-based Senator, J.D. Vance will be on the Senate Floor next week. Brown says he expects to get the 60 votes needed in order for the bill to pass through.
