TRUMBULL COUNTY, OH - An inmate involved in a Trumbull County case passed away Wednesday at the Corrections Medical Center.

Richard Hadden, 71, was serving a prison term of 18 and a half years.

That sentence was handed down by Trumbull County Common Please Judge John Stuard on March 7, 2008, on counts of rape, kidnapping and theft.

According to the Trumbull County Prosecutor's Office, Hadden was accused of forcing himself on a woman before the attack turned violent with an ice pick being used. The victim told police she had to escape from a barricaded room through a window.

During his trial, Hadden had to be removed from the courtroom twice because of verbal outbursts.
