Swim meets across Valley canceled due to poor air quality

Mahoning Valley - Swim meets across the Mahoning Valley have been canceled due to poor air quality resulting from the Canadian wildfires.
According to a statement from the Youngstown Swim League (YSL), all swim meets scheduled for Wednesday evening have been canceled.
YSL reached out to medical professionals, as well as the Mahoning County Health Commissioner in the process of making this decision.
The statement says that all parties agreed it would be in swimmers' best interest not to be outside at this time adding that the mix of smoke and chlorine could be dangerous.
Earlier in the day, JCC had announced that its Logan Campus was closed for the day, but the indoor pool at its main campus remains open.
