Around 84,000 woom ORIGINAL bicycles are being recalled due to a flaw which causes the stem and handlebar on the bikes to detatch, creating a fall risk for children according to the US Consumer Product Safety Commission.
The recall effects all sizes of woom ORIGINAL bikes from 2018 to 2021. You can identify these models of bicycle through the one bolt clamping the steer tube over the stem. This includes bikes all they way from the pedal-less woom 1 made for 18 month olds to the full-size woom 6, made for teens and young adolescents.
Consumers can remedy the issue by contacting woom Bikes USA at 855-966-6872, who will send you a free repair kit.
