Cyberattack blamed for shortage of some Clorox products

A well-known manufacturer of cleaning and sanitizing items is telling customers that there could be a shortage of some products.
In a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, Clorox revealed on Monday that consumers have recently experienced product availability issues. The filing does not say which products are impacted.
Clorox blames the issue on a cyberattack on its information technology systems last month, forcing them to take some systems offline and began manual ordering and processing at a reduced rate of operations.
The cybersecurity attack damaged portions of the Company's IT infrastructure, which caused what Clorox described as widescale disruption of its operations.
Saying repairs are underway, Clorox says it expects to begin the process of transitioning back to normal automated order processing the week of September 25, adding that it has already resumed production at most of its manufacturing sites.
