The Warren, Ohio welcome sign and the McDonalds on SR 422 in Warren were damaged early Saturday morning after a car accident.

According to Warren Fire, crews were called to the scene at about 3:55am on Saturday for a car versus building. When they arrived on scene, officials were unable to locate a driver for the vehicle.

According to a crash report from the Warren Police Department, the car was traveling northbound on Niles Road at a high rate of speed when it struck a utility pole and a railroad pole before striking the sign and crashing into the restaurant.

The crash report names Brady Benner (pictured below) as the suspect in the crash and states that alcohol is suspected to be involved.

Court records show Benner is facing traffic charges including OVI, driving without a license, reckless operation and failure to control, as well as one misdemeanor charge of unauthorized use of a vehicle.

The McDonalds at the corner of 422 and 169 in Warren tells 21 News that only their front wall near the entrance was bent in slightly, and that service continues as normal at the restaurant.
