People dreading a court appearance at the Struthers Municipal Court may have more opportunities to attend without the burden of putting their live son hold during the day.

That's because the court will be hosting weekly Night Court Sessions beginning Nov. 1.

Judge Jennifer Ciccone says that the additional court hours reflect her commitment to improve accessibility and convenience for the court's constituents.

“One of my main priorities as judge is fostering a justice system that truly serves our community," Ciccone said. "By creating evening court hours, we can help ensure accessibility for all, while recognizing the challenges many face during regular business hours. Timely justice is essential, and these extended hours aim to make legal proceedings more convenient, promote fairness, and inclusivity to everyone this court serves.”

The sessions will be every Wednesday between 5 and 7 p.m.

According to the court, the practice aligns with several other courts in the valley.
