The Ohio State Highway Patrol released aerial chase footage from the Wednesday vehicle chase that started in Youngstown and ended when the suspect abandoned the car he was driving near the skeet shooting area at the Youngstown Country Club.

The video shows the alleged suspect driving the vehicle, 23-year-old Thomas Kusic, which was being followed the OSP and Youngstown police along Market Street a little after 8 p.m. Wednesday.

The black four-door car led police north on a high-speed chase, hitting speeds around 85 mph.

The video shows the vehicle leaving the road, heading east along Granada Avenue, driving onto the sidewalk, and then back onto the road. The officer inside the OSP helicopter stated that the vehicle was starting to lose tire matter.

Police followed the suspect onto Country Club Drive, which dead ends into the Youngstown Country Club.

The video shows the car driving across what officers said was the trap shooting area at the country club.

After running out of the field that the vehicle was being driven across - just ahead of the tree line - three people can be seen running from the car.

The suspects quickly surrendered to police, which included Youngstown, Liberty, and OSP officers involved.

Kusic was arrested and Ohio State Highway Patrol dispatchers said officers had stopped the car around 8:30 p.m.

Kusic was charged in Youngstown Municipal Court on charges of fleeing and eluding police, possession of drugs and driving under a suspension from a ticket for tinted glass on the vehicle.

Kusic had his first hearing in Youngstown Municipal Court on Friday, and was given a $15,000 cash or surety bond on the eluding police felony charge. He was released on his own recognizance on the other two charges.
