Canfield football coach Mike Pavlansky is stepping down as the head coach of the Cardinals after 23 seasons.

He informed the team this morning.

Pavlansky tells 21 Sports, "it's time."

The veteran coach led the Cardinals to the state championship in 2022.

His record at Canfield was 183-76, and in his career he has 211 wins.

Pavlansky led the Cardinals to the playoffs 13 years and won seven conference championships in the Metro and All American Conference.

He was the longest tenured coach in Mahoning County before stepping down.
