Apostolakis Honda, Shenango Honda present Valley food banks with donations

CORTLAND, Ohio - Apostolakis Honda and Shenango Honda presented food banks in their respective communities with donations from their month-long fundraising campaigns in December.
For every car sold at both dealerships, $50 would be donated to either Second Harvest Food Bank of the Mahoning Valley or the Mercer County Food Bank (MCFB), with customers choosing which food bank their donation went to.
The two dealerships raised a combined total of $4,700, with $2,900 going to Second Harvest and $1,800 going to MCFB.
According to a press release, Apostolakis Auto Group President John Apostolakis has a long-standing relationship with these food banks and wants to give back to those in need.
"Our neighbors should not go without the basic necessity of food, and I'm grateful our dealerships could help the local food banks with monetary and non-perishable food donations. We're so thankful to have these important food banks in the Mahoning and Shenango Valleys," Apostolakis said.
The dealerships held a food drive at both locations and collected 219 pounds, with Apostolakis collecting 100 pounds and Shenango collecting 119 pounds.
