The Youngstown State men's basketball team has plenty to play for with three regular season games remaining.
The Penguins are sitting third in the conference at 11-6, two games behind Oakland (13-4) and a half game behind Green Bay (12-4).
YSU plays at Green Bay, Sunday at 3:00 pm and open the two game road trip at Milwaukee, Friday at 8:00 pm.
"It's not over and certainly the pressure in on Green Bay, there's no doubt about it," stated seventh year YSU coach Jerrod Calhoun.
"I feel this will be a good test for us before we start the tournament," said senior Ziggy Reid. "It's a good opportunity to try and beat these teams at their own place."
That's where the Penguins have struggled. Combined they're 10-40 on the home floors of the Panthers & Phoenix.
"Milwaukee is playing for a top four seed and Green Bay is playing for a league title, "said Calhoun, who's team beat Milwaukee (97-85 OT) and lost to the Phoenix 84-83.
"We want to get two wins and I feel the mentality this week is going to be good," stated Reid.
"Everybody is a little nicked up and mentally tired, but I think you have to very motivated this time of year," concluded Calhoun.
