Kennedy Catholic has won the PIAA State Basketball Championship with a 42-40 win over Marion Center.

Layke Fields grabbed her rebound and scored with five seconds remaining. She finished with 29 points.

After being outscored 15-7 in the third quarter, the Eagles pulled to within 40-39 with 1:56 left.

After a missed possession, the Eagles took over with 1:50 left and lost the ball out of bounds.

Marion Center ran the clock down to 57 seconds before calling a timeout.

With 28 seconds left, Lydia Miller missed two free throws, and the Eagles took over.
