Boardman Police investigate three road rage reports; two involving guns

Township police are investigating three separate road rage incidents, all on the same day in Boardman.
Before noon on Tuesday, a woman told police that a man driving a black GMC Sierra truck near the Southern Park Mall began honking his horn and yelling at her after she didn’t start moving quickly enough into an intersection after the light had changed along Route 224.
The woman said she extended her middle finger toward the driver when he pulled up next to her car and continued yelling and honking.
After the truck pulled in front of her car and stopped, the woman said she drove away.
Police say they traced the truck to a Boardman man involved in a similar incident two years ago.
About four hours later, a man driving along Route 224 near West Boulevard told police that he was cut off by a Jeep Grand Cherokee.
According to the police report, the driver of the Jeep pulled up next to his car and pointed a revolver while yelling, “"If I see you again, I am going to blow your head off.”
After the Jeep drove away, the alleged victim called 9-1-1. The man told police he didn’t know the suspect or why he pointed the gun. He said it may have been because his car has a “Free Palestine” sticker displayed.
The third incident occurred after 8 p.m. Tuesday near Midlothian Boulevard and Shirley Road.
A driver says he honked his car’s horn after it nearly collided with an older Chevy.
The man told police that the driver of the Chevy honked back and said “I will pop you!”
It wasn’t until the driver had reached Mathews Road in Boardman that he noticed that the Chevy was behind him.
The alleged victim told police that the Chevy drove into oncoming traffic next to his car and the driver flashed a handgun.
The driver managed to pull away and called the police.
