Charges dropped against one suspect in deadly 2022 Youngstown homicide at gas station

Editor's note: This aA Mahoning County Grand Jury found one of the suspects in a deadly 2022 shooting lacked evidence for an indictment.
The Grand Jury no billed an indictment against 33-year-old Zachary Bair, who was held on a $1 million surety bond after his arrest in late May. Youngstown police identified Bair as one of two suspects in the deadly shooting of 26-year-old Devin Bell in December of 2022. He was arrested by the US Marshals Northern Ohio Fugitive Task Force on May 28.
Bell was shot multiple times and died inside his vehicle at a gas station on South Avenue in Youngstown on Dec. 22 at 2:30 am. Two suspects wearing ski masks were reported fleeing the scene.
The other suspect charged in the deadly shooting is 31-year-old Akeem Hargrove, who has a pretrial set for Aug. 28 and a jury trial set for Sept. 9.
