Boardman's Grocery Outlet launches campaign to help stock Rescue Mission's pantry

BOARDMAN, Ohio - Boardman's Grocery Outlet has launched their food drive campaign to help stock the Rescue Mission of the Mahoning Valley’s pantry.
According to a press release, the efforts during Grocery Outlet's national "Independence from Hunger" campaign supports the Rescue Mission's endeavor to provide meals and shelter to those in need.
Now until July 31, customers at Grocery Outlet can contribute to the campaign at check out, where they will be asked if they would like to donate $5. In return for their $5 donation, they will receive a coupon for $5 off their next $25 or more purchase.
At the conclusion of the fundraiser, Grocery Outlet will make a purchase equal to the total funds raised to help fill the Mission's pantry based on the items most in need by the Mission.
Representatives say that the campaign has raised $1,703 towards their goal of $3,000.
"It's gratifying to see our customers' donations transform into nutritious meals at the Rescue Mission of Mahoning Valley," said Eric and Sarah Senges in a press statement. "Our objective is to support our community by addressing hunger in the Valley. With a goal of raising $3,000, we invite everyone to join us in this cause."
Grocery Outlet is located at 317 Boardman Poland Road in Boardman, and is open daily from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
