Cleveland man indicted on charges of theft, forgery, passing bad checks in Canfield, Boardman, Austintown
An East Cleveland man had a preliminary hearing scheduled in Canfield Court for charges of counterfeiting and passing bad checks.
54-year-old Robert Caddiell was due in Canfield Court late November, stemming from alleged incidents from June and August 2023.
The amount of bad checks passed totaled more than $3,800.
According to the police report, Caddiell allegedly passed bad checks at local businesses in Canfield, Boardman, and Austintown.
From business surveillance footage in Austintown, officers identified the suspect as Caddiell.
A warrant for Caddiell's arrest was issued, but it wasn't until November 11, 2024, that officers were notified that Caddiell had been arrested in Cuyahoga County.
Caddiell has been indicted as of December 12 on multiple charges, including two counts of forgery, two counts of theft and two counts of passing bad checks by the Mahoning County Grand Jury.
The next court for Caddiell has not been decided on at this time.
