The Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Tasks Force (MVHTTF) has released a list of recent convictions and sentences related to human trafficking investigations to remind sex traffickers they are on the lookout for them.

Here are the Valley residents the task force has investigated, charged and sentenced with alleged crimes.

  • November 20, Wilson Peake, of Youngstown, was charged with engaging in prostitution and possession of criminal tools after allegedly responding to an advertisement posted by an undercover agent and agreeing to pay for sex.
  • November 22, Pete Kramer, of Canfield, was charged with engaging in prostitution and possession of criminal tools after allegedly agreeing to pay for sex.
  • November 27, James Lemmon, of Mingo Junction, was charged with engaging in prostitution, possession of criminal tools, drug trafficking and attempted tampering with evidence.
  • December 3, Yuli Guo, of China, was found guilty of soliciting and sentenced to 60 days in jail (suspended), $650 in court fines and a year in probation for trying to sell sex to an undercover agent out of the Elegant Foot Spa on Belmont Ave in Youngstown.

The MVHTTF is organized under Ohio Attorney General, David Yost and his Ohio Organized Crime Investigations Commission and led by the Mahoning County Sheriff's Office.

"Sex traffickers don't take a holiday break, and neither do task forces," said Yost.

The task force is comprised of representatives of the Austintown Police Department, Youngstown Police Department, Bureau of Criminal Investigation, Ohio Investigative Unit, East Palestine Police Department, Adult Parole Authority, Salem Police Department and Columbiana County Sheriff's Office.
