A Warren man has been declared a sex offender and given a 10-year-to-life prison sentence for raping a 9-year-old girl and recording it on video.

Ducati J. Buell, 20, of Oak Street SW, Warren, pleaded guilty Tuesday in Trumbull County Common Pleas Cort to first-degree rape, three counts of illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material or performance, and two counts of pandering obscenity involving a minor.

According to the prosecutor, the case involved a forced sexual act on the girl as well as Buel taking a video of himself performing a sexual act on the victim as well as taking nude pictures of the child.

The indictment also alleged that Buell had a video of a six or seven-year-old girl being forced to engage in sexual conduct by an adult female.

Buell will have his first chance at parole after he serves a minimum of 10 years in prison, according to Judge Ronald J. Rice.

If released, as a Tier 3 sexual offender, Buell will have to register with the sheriff’s office once every 90 days for the rest of his life.

The plea hearing offset a jury trial that had been scheduled in Judge Rice’s courtroom.
