The United Way of Lawrence County's $400,000 campaign has reached the halfway point and raised over $205,000 toward its goal of $400,000.

The non-profit is also celebrating their 100th anniversary with the annual community-wide campaign, providing funds to local charities where they can leverage funds from federal, state and private foundations.

The Campaign Cabinet and United Way board members met virtually to discuss fundraising progress across their respective divisions.

All funds raised will remain in the community to support local residents in a time of crisis.

Amy Stapleton, Board President, states her involvement with the agency for a few years and listed various divisions that collect from the campaign such as building trades, education, financial institutions, industrial, public affairs, dentist, residential and many more.

She also states some of the agencies that will receive the funds including Adult Lifelong Learning Choices, ALICE Programs, American Red Cross, Children's Advocacy Center, Girl Scouts of Western PA, Lark Enterprises, Myasthenia Gravis Association and more.

Additionally, she thanks the businesses and employees that generously donated to the United Way Campaign which include:
