37 spent bullets recovered from two home shootings in Warren

Warren Police Department responded to two separate reports of home shootings just a few hours apart from each other in Warren on Monday and Tuesday.
Monday, February 24
Police responded to a home in the 700 block of Packard Street NW in Warren for reports of shots fired around 11 p.m.
Upon arrival, police spoke to the resident of the home who told police that he was in the living room when he heard two gunshots go through the front window.
An officer on scene reported four bullet holes in the north side of the house according to the police report.
Police then spoke with the neighbor directly next to the home in the 700 block of Packard Street NW who said she was laying on the couch when she heard what she described to be someone banging a hammer on the side of the house.
According to the police report, the neighbor's home had two bullet holes in the north wall of the home, with two additional bullet holes through the bedroom wall on the west side of the home.
Police recovered a total of 18 shell casings from a 9mm firearm in the surrounding area of these homes.
Citizens in the area stated that they saw two unknown individuals running away from the area after the gunshots.
A damaged cell phone was recovered from the scene by police.
No suspects have been identified, and no arrests have been made at this time.
Tuesday, February 25
Police responded to a home in the 2300 block of Stephens Avenue NW in Warren for reports of shots fired shortly after 3:30 a.m.
When officers arrived to the area, police saw shell casings in the roadway and several bullet holes in the house.
The homeowner told police that he was sleeping and heard banging on the house. When he went to check, he saw that his house had been shot at and called the authorities.
While police gathered the spent shell casings in the area, a baggie containing a white power substance was found on the curb. The baggie was taken in order to be tested later.
The homeowner stated that while he didn't see any people or a car, he did have cameras. Upon review, the footage showed a dark colored SUV driving past the home with several occupants inside.
Police recovered a total of 19 shell casings in the roadway from a 9mm firearm and bullet fragments from inside the home.
There were no injuries reported, and there are no suspects at this time.
