Oak Hill Collaborative to host e-waste collection drive

Anyone looking to drop off unwanted, broken or needs recycling electronics will have their chance this March - all for free.
Oak Hill Collaborative is set to host an e-waste collection drive on March 14 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., citing the success of its winter drive.
Anyone looking to bring items for collection can bring them to Oak Hill Collaborative's Main Branch at 507 Oak Hill Avenue, Youngstown.
After the drive ends, GreenBoardIT will collect all materials and properly recycle and dispose of the technology, wiping any personal, sensitive data.
Items that are accepted for collection include:
- Laptops
- PCs
- DVD players
- MP3 players
- Gaming consoles
- Routers
- Hard drives
- Keyboards
- Wires
- Scanners
- LCD monitors
- Servers
- Cameras, and other technology
Items not accepted include printers, TVs, CRT monitors, home medical equipment and kitchen appliances.
The first drive, according to Oak Hill Collaborative, was a success - both organizations were able to collect just shy of two tons of materials. This figure included over 80 laptops and 330 pounds of desktop monitors.
During this drive in March, the organizations are aiming to do even better and beat the previous number of 4,238 pounds.
