Youngstown school treasurer announces resignation, set to join Portage County District

Youngstown City School District Treasurer Bryan Schiraldi will resign in late June at the end of his contract.
Schiraldi has been with the district since September 2022, when he replaced AJ Ginetti, who left to become treasurer for Boardman School District.
Prior to working for the district, Schiraldi worked for the Lowellville district from August 2020 through 2022.
Schiraldi is leaving at a time when the district is facing concerns over revenues. 21 News reported last month that the district's projections indicate expenses could outpace revenue, with expenditures increasing $2.1 million over the previous year.
Schiraldi informed board members of his decision to leave and will start a new job as treasurer with the Aurora City School District in Portage County for the 2025-26 school year.
YCSD board member Joe Meranto told 21 News that the district wishes him good luck with his new position, adding it was a good opportunity for Schiraldi.
