Two Mahoning Valley Walmart stores to be remodeled in 2025

Two Walmart stores in the Mahoning Valley will be getting upgraded in 2025.
According to a press release, Walmart plans to remodel 23 Ohio stores this year including the Boardman and East Liverpool locations right here in the Mahoning Valley.
A representative for Walmart tells 21 News the Boardman remodel is expected to happen in late July and the East Liverpool remodel is expected to happen in early to mid-November.
These upgrades will include a new look with new signage and displays, expanded departments and new items, an expansion of online pickup and delivery services and a revamped pharmacy with wider aisles, a new private screening room and privacy checkout areas.
These two stores will join multiple other Valley Walmart stores that underwent remodels in recent years including Liberty Township, Grove City and Austintown.
"Our stores often serve as the heartbeat of the communities we operate in, and these remodels are a testament to our dedication to enhancing that role. By investing in our stores and associates, we are not only improving the shopping experience, but also reinforcing our commitment to being a vital part of the community's fabric, helping to build a brighter future for all," said Walmart North Business Unit Senior Vice President Glenda Fleming Willis.
