HOWLAND, Ohio - For a second day in a row, a bear has been spotted in Trumbull County.

Howland Police posted to Facebook around 8 p.m. Wednesday about a sighting of a large black bear walking through backyards on Avalon Drive.

HPD has notified the Ohio Department of Natural Resources about the sighting.

On Tuesday, a black bear was caught on video in Cortland along McCleary Jacoby Road.

If you encounter a black bear, ODNR says to remain calm and don't run. You can also raise your hands to appear larger and clap or shout to scare the bear away.
