Allegheny Health Network, Cigna Healthcare announce three-year contract

According to a news release, Allegheny Health Network (AHN) and Cigna Healthcare announced on Friday that a new contract agreement had been reached between the two organizations.
The contract between AHN and Cigna will be in place for three years, running through June 30, 2028.
The new contract, according to the release, will ensure that Cigna Healthcare insurance beneficiaries in the greater Western Pennsylvania region will continue to have in-network access to AHN's clinical programs, its 14 hospitals and its employed physicians and clinicians.
The release also states that any Cigna members who have AHN clinical visits or procedures the week of June 29, 2025 will be able to keep those appointments.
"This contract is fantastic news for the more than 20,000 Cigna members in this region who rely on AHN for their care," said AHN President Mark Sevco.
Sevco continued," It ensures continued, in-network access to AHN's expert clinicians, and to the exceptional-quality, high-value care that their members and our patients expect and deserve."
Cigna members with questions about the new contract and the AHN access are encouraged to contact a Cigna Healthcare representative at the number on the back of their insurance card.
Additionally, customers with questions can call Cigna's customer service line at 1-800-997-1654.
