AUSTINTOWN A music festival is returning to Austintown this fall for its third year to spread breast cancer awareness.

'Pink Out Mahoning Valley' will be full of live musical performances and includes a variety of vendors and concessions. The performance lineup will be announced closer to the day of the event.

According to a release, the day is meant to be a gathering space for individuals and families impacted by breast cancer and their supporters.

"Cancer impacts so many of us in so many ways. It's hard on individuals, families, friends. We just wanted to do something to celebrate survivors and show some support for anyone going through treatment or dealing with a cancer diagnosis," explained Kroll-Dickinson, a co-founder of the event. "It's about supporting one another, encouraging each other, and having some fun in the process."

The release states that guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets, snacks, beverages and to wear the color pink.

The festival will take place on Sunday, October 5 beginning at noon at the Austintown Township Park.

The concert is sponsored by Pink Out Mahoning Valley and Pink Out America.
