AUSTINTOWN According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP), a section of Interstate 680 was closed due to flooding.

Troopers had closed off the Interstate 680 on and off ramps around North Meridian Road in Austintown.

Additionally, Meridian Road was closed off between Interstate 680 and Vestal Road.

As of 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday, the roadway has reopened according to the Youngstown Police Department.

The reason for the closure was due to the amount of water flooding the streets in the area.
