AUSTINTOWN - Wonder Village is preparing for its ribbon-cutting ceremony and soft opening in Austintown on Monday.

Opening its doors to children between 0 and 6 years old, Wonder Village is a "Montessori-inspired play and learning space." This means that the caretakers and the environment are specially prepared to encourage creative and developmentally helpful play with toys and other children.

Wonder Village was founded by Kayla Adair, a teacher with almost 10 years of experience and a master's degree in Intervention Services.

"It's a space where children thrive, parents can exhale, and families discover their long-awaited village. Every detail was designed to meet the real needs of both kids and caregivers," says Adair.

Wonder Village features a suite of programs and events to help both children and their parents with the intense needs of childhood, such as:

  • Open Play sessions in immersive, hands-on play spaces
  • Age-appropriate Classes designed to support early development through movement, creativity, and connection
  • Private Birthday Parties and seasonal events
  • Parent & Child Workshops for learning and community building

According to the press release, Wonder Village filled its initial openings with 15 families within hours of starting its early membership registration.

"We are so excited for our children to have a safe place that will feed their imaginations and let them do the hard work of childhood — play!" says December Kaufmann, one of the first families to register with Wonder Village. "We're grateful to be part of this community."
