AUSTINTOWN The newest grocery store in Austintown will be opening its doors to shoppers Thursday.

Grocery Outlet Bargain Market will open its newest location and second location in the Mahoning Valley in the former JCPenney building in the Austintown Plaza Thursday, October 15.

To celebrate the store's opening, the first 100 people in line will receive a gift card valued between $5 and $500. Additionally, customers will receive free reusable tote bags while supplies last.

Additionally, customers can enter a drawing to win $1,000 worth of free groceries.

The store only carries name-brand products at lower prices than other grocery stores. The store is independently owned and operated, allowing buyers to find top manufacturers with excess inventory and seasonal closeouts.

"Because the buyers are able to get really good cost prices from vendors, we pass that along to our customers, which we can offer items at 40 to 70% off traditional grocery stores," said store owner Eric Senges.

The store opens at 8 a.m. and will remain open until 9 p.m. This is Grocery Outlet's second location in the Mahoning Valley with the first being located in Boardman on Route 224 next to Harbor Freight.
