STRUTHERS Two suspects in a child abuse case in Struthers were arraigned on felony charges Friday morning in Struthers Municipal Court.

No plea was accepted at the arraignment, and both Essence Revely, 30, and Kamille Hibbitt, 33, were formally arraigned on felony charges.

Revely was formally charged with felony assault (F2), tampering with evidence (F3) and child endangerment (F3) during her arraignment.

Additionally, Hibbitt was formally charged with felony assault (F2) and child endangerment (F3).

Charges allegedly stem from the hospitalization of a 7-year-old boy who was found with severe injuries.

The child was admitted to Akron Children's Hospital in Boardman on Tuesday, October 14, after being brought by his mother. Hospital staff contacted police, reporting that the child was unconscious and covered in bruises.

Investigators later searched the boy's Euclid Avenue home, where they found signs of active cleaning in areas that were later confirmed to contain biological material.

BCI is processing evidence from the scene.

Both Revely and Hibbitt are being held at a $250,000 cash or surety bond, must wear a GPS monitor and are not to have any contact with the alleged victim or any other minors.

Revely is due back in court on October 20, 2025, at 9:30 a.m. for a preliminary hearing.

Hibbitt will appear in court again on October 22 at 1:30 p.m. for a preliminary hearing.
