Local radio station to play nothing but Christmas music through November, December

As the holiday season fast approaches, one local radio station is looking to get the Mahoning and Shenango Valleys into the Christmas spirit.
WWIZ-FM on 103.9 in the Mahoning and Shenango Valleys has flipped formats from its traditional "Z-104" playlist of "today's hits and yesterday's favorites" to "Christmas 104," playing nothing but Christmas music from now until New Year's Day.
WWIZ has transformed into Christmas 104 for several years, debuting in October of 2019. The station is owned by Cumulus Media. Cumulus Youngstown's Operations Manager Charles Connolly says he hopes this station helps folks in the Valley get into the Christmas spirit.
"Listeners are thrilled to usher in the Christmas season with the launch of what has become a much-loved Mahoning Valley Christmas tradition, Christmas 104. We hope people enjoy all the holiday cheer and feel-good energy, now through New Year's Day 2026," said Cumulus Youngstown Operations Manager Charles Connolly.
