WARREN - A Warren man who pled guilty to his role ina drug trafficking operation in September has learned his fate.

According to a press release, 55-year-old Andre Bowers of Warren was sentenced to 128 months in prison followed by five years of probation on a charge of attempted possession of a controlled substance with the intent to distribute.

The charges stem from a traffic stop conducted in Janaury of 2025 on a trailer truck hauling vehicles from California to Ohio. Two of those vehicles were suspected of having controlled substances.

A search of those vehicles revealed nearly 80 pounds of cocaine. Troopers let the truck continue to its intended destination while Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) agents tracked it as it delivered the two vehicles to a location in Warren.

Bowers was later seen at that location taking the two vehicles to a vacant building on Park Avenue in Warren. Agents conducted a search warrant at the building two days later and took Bowers into custody.

From there, two residences connected to bowers were searched, resulting in the seizure of six guns, 1.4 kilograms of a fentanyl analogue and 136 grams of methamphetamine.
