Man indicted in connection with Poland Township shooting, robbery

POLAND - The suspect of an armed robbery and shooting incident in Poland Township in December of 2025 has been indicted.
According to a Mahoning County grand jury report, 22-year-old Julian Vanfossan of Niles was indicted on aggravated robbery and two counts of felonious assault, all with three-year firearm specifications, as well as one count each of tampering with evidence and possession of cocaine.
Court records do not show an arraignment date at this time.
The charges stem from an armed robbery and shooting incident that occurred on the 2200 block of Bel Aire Lane in Poland Township back in December of 2025. Police said this incident resulted in one victim being shot in the face.
Police told 21 News that Vanfossan is only one of three suspects in this case. There has been no word on the identities of the other two suspects at this time.
