NEW CASTLE, Pa. - A Youngstown man has been charged in the murder of a missing New Castle man.

Corey Phillips, 23, was arrested Wednesday night and charged with the homicide of Jahmia Ward, 23, of Raymond Street, New Castle.

Ward was reported missing by his family on October 2 to the New Castle City Police Department.

Officers found Ward's body was found on Wednesday in a wooded area off of North Street, just a few blocks from the New Castle police station.

Phillips is being held without bond in the Lawrence County Jail. He is expected to appear in court on October 22 at 11 a.m. for a preliminary hearing.
