Wednesday morning commuters along Market Street may have seen a large police presence along the road after the discovery of a body.

According to Police Chief Tod Werth, dispatchers got a call at around 6:30 a.m. that a man's body was found partially in the roadway south of Palestine Avenue.

Police told 21 News that the body is that of 34-year-old Joseph Craven, who was reported missing and possibly endangered by family members eight hours before he was discovered. Authorities found no sign of trauma.

According to a police report, a witness told police that she had noticed someone walking to the south entrance of a parking lot walking oddly, picking his legs up high and clapping.

The witness says she went into her apartment after seeing this and never saw the male again afterwards.

The Mahoning County Coroner says an autopsy will be conducted and the incident remains under investigation by Boardman Police.
