NEW YORK, New York - Anderson Cooper meets 13-year-old Dugan Smith, whose bone cancer and right amputated leg have not kept him from following his dream and love of baseball.

Anderson discusses with Dugan the surgery that saved his life and how he has overcome the challenges of having a leg reattached backwards.

Anderson also surprises Dugan with his favorite baseball player, Yankees pitcher CC Sabathia, who gives Dugan a signed baseball and one of his own official jerseys. Sabathia also invites Dugan to join him on his personal team with his family on November 12th for his CC Challenge event, a scavenger hunt around New York City that will benefit his PitCCh In Foundation, a non-profit organization supporting inner-city youth through the funding and support of academic and athletic programs in New York and Northern California.

Anderson also surprises Dugan and his parents with World Series tickets to Game 4, which is dedicated to Stand Up To Cancer.

This episode of Anderson will air Friday at 4:00 p.m. on 21 WFMJ.
