YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - Officials with Cardinal Mooney High School, say they are moving forward, with plans to relocate the school from Youngstown to the suburbs.

Wednesday evening school officials met behind closed doors to discuss the progress of their fundraising campaign.

Superintendent Dr. Nicholas Wolsonovich says officials are considering three locations near Western Reserve Road for the schools new location.

The school will cost $29.5 million dollars to build, plus an additional three million to provide less fortunate families with scholarship money.

Dr. Wolsonovich would not say how much money they have raised towards their campaign but said it was a "substantial amount of money."

Wolsonovich says they are confident their campaign will raise the money needed, but says officials will reconsider the decision to relocate, if the money is not raised.

The Bishop originally announced in July, that the high school would stay at it's current location on the city's south side, but after learning about the possible cost of removing asbestos from the existing building, officials reversed their decision.
