CANFIELD, Ohio -  The Canfield Fair Board has calculated it's final attendance for the event that wrapped up on Monday. 

The board reports that 291,539 people attended this year's fair. That's significantly down from the 2013 attendance: 301,168. 

Craig Myers, the fair board president, attributes the nearly 10,000 person gap to a rainy Sunday.   "We were ahead every day except Sunday," Myers said. "People just shied away because of the threat of rainstorms."

Sunday's admission dropped nearly 30% compared to last years attendance. 

Overall however, Myers was pleased with the turnout this year.
