Scrappers announce Jim Tressel bobblehead night

NILES, Ohio - Bobblehead fans will be able to add another local celebrity to their collection this Spring.
A mold is being made for the Jim Tressel bobblehead that will given to the first 1,000 Mahoning Valley Scrapper fans who pass through the gates of Eastwood Field on Friday, June 26, 2015 courtesy of 21 WFMJ and the Eastwood Mall Complex.
The small swivel headed figure Tressel will be given out before the Scrappers play the State College Spikes that night.
There have been previous versions of Tressel bobbleheads manufactured when he was coaching for the Ohio State Buckeyes. The new edition will link the President of Youngstown State University with YSU.
Scrappers Assistant General Manager of Marketing, Heather Sahli tells 21 News that the Tressel bobblehead will be wearing a tie, sporting a red sweater vest emblazoned with a “Y” and his shirtsleeves will be rolled up.
Bobbleheads are guaranteed to full season ticket holders, diamond club members and bobblehead plans, which are on sale now.
Tickets for the June 26 game go on sale April 10.
Tressel is the first of three bobblehead giveaway nights for the 2015 season.
