The Youngstown State baseball program and head coach Steve Gillispie have mutually agreed to part ways after four seasons.

The Penguins' season ended Saturday with a 5-21 conference record and 14-38 overall mark and they missed the conference tournament.

Under Gillispie's direction, the Penguins were 28-75 in league play and 61-153 overall.  In his second year, 2014, the Penguins won the Horizon League Tournament and won a NCAA tournament game over Indiana State.

21 Sports learned Gillispie met with the team Sunday morning and told them he was leaving the program.
