WARREN, Ohio - Police are investigating the fourth church break-in to happen in Warren so far this year.

Full Covenant Tabernacle Church is the most recent church to have thousands of dollars in damage and equipment stolen.

Within the last two weeks, Full Covenant Tabernacle has had two separate break-ins causing damage to the building and had musical equipment stolen.

“They pretty much have depleted our sound equipment and sound system and our guitars, all that is pretty much gone,” said Full Covenant Tabernacle Senior Pastor Dan Laurenzi.

Thieves stole a drum set, speakers, and sound equipment during the first break in two weeks ago. But last week, thieves stole over $3,000 worth of more sound equipment and damages.

Warren police were able to recover some of the stolen items and continue to investigate the break-ins.

Pastor Laurenzi says his congregation isn't scared after people broke in from the roof and proceeded to break through a wall to access the church area.  “I don't think that we've felt unsafe. just a little upset more than anything.”

Even through this investigation, Full Covenant Tabernacle Church continues to have services. While services run, as usual, the Warren Police Department is hopeful this case will be resolved soon.

The police department says church break-ins are not on the rise in Warren and there is not much they can do to prevent them.
