Product Quest is recalling CVS Health 12-Hour Sinus Relief Nasal Mist over a contamination concern.

According to the Food and Drug Administration, the product was found to have had microbiological contamination identified as Pseudomonas Aeruginosa.

The recall was issued nationwide on Wednesday.

The affected CVS Health 12-Hour Sinus Relief Nasal Mist lot is Lot number 173089J, with an expiration date of 09/19. 

According to the FDA, repetitive use of a nasal spray containing a gram-negative pathogen can potentially lead to colonization and subsequent infection which can be life-threatening.

Product Quest says they have not received any sicknesses related to this recall.

The company says they are notifying customers by oral and written communication and arranging return and replacement options.

Consumers, distributors, and retailers that have the recalled product should stop using it and return it to the place of purchase.
