LORDSTOWN, Ohio - Lordstown residents are preparing for a significant vote Tuesday that could bring about 1,000 jobs in the Valley, and the Trumbull County Board of Elections said they believe it will be a good turnout.

The special election will ask voters if they are in favor of re-zoning residential land to industrial so the TJX distribution center can be built.

According to the board of elections, there are 2,530 registered voters in Lordstown's three precincts, and residents are spread out evenly between the three.

Within the three precincts, there are 725 voters in Precinct A, 970 voters in Precinct B and 835 voters in Precinct C.

Precinct C is where the distribution center would be located.

The board of elections said 290 voters have already returned their absentee ballots.

Voting for Tuesday's special election will take place from 6:30 am to 7:30 p.m. at the Village Administration Building.

This will be the only polling location for this special election as well as future elections in Lordstown.

This is unless you have changed your name and address, in which case you will need to go to the board of elections directly.

The board of elections said they expect to have a good turnout of voters since they already have received about 10 percent of votes just from absentee ballots.

They said they expect the results to come in around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday night.
