Thursday will begin on a quiet and cold note with early morning temperatures in the mid 20s. Meanwhile, a cold front will approach The Valley. This front will touch off a period of light snow during the midday and afternoon hours. We expect snow to taper to flurries early in the evening. Accumulations of an inch or so will be fairly common and some surfaces can get slick for a time.

We look for a colder and quieter day Friday. Clouds should linger into the afternoon and temperatures will only rise a few degrees. High pressure will provide some needed sunshine over the course of the weekend. Temperatures will remain below average for this time of the year. The forecast for early next week is also tranquil.
