Boardman PD need help to find shoplifter who tossed cop from moving car
Boardman police have issued a "Be On the Look Out" for a woman accused of shoplifting at the Southern Park Mall, then injuring a cop during her getaway.

BOARDMAN TWP., Ohio - Boardman police have issued a "Be On the Look Out" for a woman accused of shoplifting at the Southern Park Mall, then injuring a cop during her getaway.
According to police, two officers were in the mall when they were approached by an employee of Hibbett Sports.
A report says the employee told officers that a woman had just walked out of the store with a "purse full" of stolen goods, including a $60 sweatshirt, headphones, and a Nike backpack.
The employee reportedly told police that the woman flashed her ankle monitor bracelet before leaving the store. The woman reportedly told the employee, "I can't get caught because of this."
Officers say they walked outside the food court entrance and spotted a woman that appeared to be the suspect.
The police report says an officer yelled for the woman to stop and she began running toward her car.
The officer reportedly continued approaching the vehicle and yelling for the woman to stop.
A report says that the woman backed out of the parking spot and began to try to drive away, but not before the officer was able to open the driver's side door.
According to police, the officer tried to reach over to put the car in park, but the suspect yelled "Oh Jesus" and sped up, jerking her steering wheel to the right.
As a result, the officer was thrown from the vehicle and slid across the parking lot.
The officer was injured and was taken to the hospital to be checked out.
The suspect is described as a Female, thin, short brown hair, glasses, black or brown thicker framed, possibly mid 30's to mid-'40s, wearing black and yellow striped bellbottom type pants, a black coat and an electronic ankle monitor bracelet.
