Sirens were tested in Hubbard, Howland and Warren Friday morning after they remained silent when the National Weather Service issued a tornado warning on Sunday.

Officials from the Trumbull County 911 dispatch center tell 21 News, they were responsible for testing sirens in Hubbard and Howland and that the tests were successful and the sirens did go off, although four or five sirens in Howland need to be repaired.

Warren tested their own sirens, which were also reported to be working properly.

The weather service confirmed two EF1 tornadoes swept from Southington to Brookfield.
